Live Now listed "Dallas Cowboys vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers, started 3:00 PM" on Friday. ESPN has that game as final at 8:15 PM Thursday. The replay check compares guide airings with ESPN's scoreboard, but after 6 AM it only loaded today's scoreboard, so it never saw a game that finished yesterday.
The ESPN refresh now always loads yesterday's and today's scoreboards (253 to 410 games right now). A guide airing is dropped as a replay only if those teams have no game still to play, so a playoff series that plays on back-to-back days keeps today's game even when the guide slot doesn't line up with ESPN's start time.
Tested in the running container with the real pool loaded from Redis and live ESPN data, without contacting providers. Comparing Live Now before and after, the only change is that the Cowboys-Bucs replay is gone (CLE vs CWS, today's Division Series game, is still listed).
Not covered: replays with no team names in the title, like "WNBA: Semifinals (Game 3)", and replays of games older than yesterday.
